“Foods First” for Health Nutrition Update

As dental health professionals, you know that oral health is linked to overall health and well-being. What may be less clear is how nutrition and food choices can support both better oral and overall health. This includes dietary strategies that help prevent or manage chronic diseases that are common to Canadians. Within this series of talks, we will explore how specific foods, nutrients and bioactives in foods can help optimize not only oral health but also other aspects of health. Practical insights for a ‘’foods first” approach will be provided while also discussing the use of supplements.
